FGEHA 52nd Executive Board meeting reviews housing projects, recent successful auction

ISLAMABAD, Sep 18 (APP):The 52nd meeting of the Executive Board of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) was held at the Ministry of Housing and Works here on Friday.
The meeting was chaired by the Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada. Secretary Housing and Works, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Mahmood, Director General FGEHA, Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, and other members of the Board also attended the meeting.
The meeting undertook a detailed review of FGEHA’s ongoing housing projects, recent developments, the Authority’s recently concluded successful auction, and its future course of action.
The Federal Minister for Housing and Works expressed satisfaction over the successful auction conducted by FGEHA and appreciated the Authority’s continued efforts, stating that its sustained hard work was producing positive results.
He said that, in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the concerted efforts of the Ministry of Housing and Works and FGEHA were commendable and had resulted in a strong expression of confidence by investors in the Authority.
Federal Minister congratulated the Secretary Housing and Works and the Director General FGEHA on this important achievement and said that the Ministry and FGEHA, through mutual cooperation and coordinated efforts, were making significant progress in the housing sector.
Federal Minister noted that FGEHA’s various projects were progressing at an accelerated pace, including Sector F-14/F-15, the joint venture project Margalla Orchard in collaboration with DHA, and other housing projects. He directed that all possible measures be taken to ensure their effective and timely progress.
The services and contributions of Dr. Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Mr. Ahsan Khan Cheema, Federal Minister for Establishment, were also specially acknowledged. Their role in the preparation of the National Housing Policy and in facilitating important matters and drafts related to the Ministry of Housing and Works was appreciated. Their contributions were described as significant in advancing policy formulation and future initiatives in the housing sector.
Federal Minister stated that FGEHA’s recent successful auction was an important milestone reflecting the growing confidence of investors in the Authority. He observed that the participation and confidence of investors demonstrated that FGEHA was making progress in advancing its projects and creating new opportunities for investment in the housing sector.
Federal Minister further emphasized that the process of providing plots to existing allottees of FGEHA would be expedited. He directed that allottees who had already been allotted plots should be provided possession at the earliest possible stage, subject to progress on the requisite development works.
He further stated that work was also underway to introduce new housing schemes for allottees currently on the waiting list, so that residential facilities could be provided to them. Similarly, concerted efforts would be made to expedite pending housing projects and bring them forward towards practical implementation and completion.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Housing and Works and FGEHA to continue their coordinated efforts for the timely completion of ongoing housing projects, implementation of new schemes, provision of facilities to allottees within the shortest possible time, and further strengthening of investors’ confidence in the Authority.
