Federal Minister Akran Durrani escapes unhurt in IED blast

PESHAWAR, Nov 26 (APP): Federal Minister for Housing Akram Khan Durrani Thursday evening escaped unhurt in an improvised explosive device blast planted on a roadside in Bakakhel area of FR Bannu, killing two officials of health department and injuring three others.
A police official said that the motorcade of the federal minister, who is senior member of JUI-F, was on its way back from Bakakhel area when a remote device hit one of the vehicles in the motorcade resultantly killing two persons instantly. Federal Minister remained unhurt as his vehicle had already crossed the spot, police said adding the killed health
department officials were identified as Ehsan son of Ghulam Daud and Arif son of Ejaz.
The injured were identified as Abid Khan, driver of an ambulance, Shireen Khan, tube-well operator and Abdul Rauf Dispenser.
The injured was rushed to hospitals where their condition
was stated to be stable. The police rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and started search operation for arrest of perpetrators.
