Federal govt to support development in Azad Kashmir: Amir Muqam
ISLAMABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Dr. Najeeb Naqi Khan, the PML-N’s nominated candidate for the presidency of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, met with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam and discussed the political situation and development agenda of Azad Kashmir.
During the meeting, Amir Muqam said the Federal Government would continue to extend all possible cooperation for the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and the prosperity of its people.
He said coordinated cooperation between the Federal Government and the Azad Kashmir government would be ensured to accelerate the development process and address public issues, said a press issued here on Tuesday.
The federal minister said the government would play a pivotal role in completing ongoing development projects in Azad Kashmir and launching new projects.
He added that public welfare, provision of basic amenities and development of Azad Kashmir were among the government’s top priorities.
The meeting also discussed the priorities of the newly formed Azad Kashmir government and matters of mutual interest.
Both sides also considered various measures to make development activities in Azad Kashmir more effective and ensure timely resolution of public issues.
