ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): Federal Minister for Public Affairs Rana Mubashir Iqbal has said that the federal government stood firm with the flood-affected people during this difficult time and was making every effort to help them stand on their own feet.
Talking to APP on Thursday, the federal minister said that the government has taken effective measures to provide all possible facilities to the flood affectees, and he had been assigned responsibility for Swabi and adjoining areas, where he fulfilled his duties with honesty and full commitment.
On the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, he distributed compensation cheques among the families affected by the floods for each loss of life in Swabi and its adjoining areas.
He noted that although this amount cannot compensate for the precious lives lost, it would certainly help the bereaved families during this difficult time.
Rana Mubashir Iqbal expressed hope that the flood affectees across the country would soon overcome this temporary hardship.
He reaffirmed that the federal government would continue to play an active role and would not leave the victims’ side until their complete rehabilitation.
