ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), Wednesday organized a Science Exhibition and Quiz Competition at Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) G-6/3, showcasing the innovation and creativity in the field of science, physics, Mathematics, IT and others.
More than 300 top-performing students at the primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary and other level took part in the event, having been shortlisted through earlier competitions held across six sectors: Urban-I, Urban-II, Tarnol, Sihala, Bhara Kahu, and Nilore.
Secretary, Federal Education & Professional Training (FE&PT), Dr Nadeem Mehbub graced the event as chief guest, who visited the laboratories and appreciated the art work of students.
During his address, Dr Nadeem Mehbub appreciated the event, hailing the innovative skills demonstrated by students during competition.
He called these activities a landmark prospective in the field of education which help students to enhance their abilities.
“These activities hold immense significance in shaping the future of education,” Dr Mehbub said, adding, “These activities allow students to expand their practical understanding, experiment with new ideas, and express their natural abilities.”
He also acknowledged the teachers, parents and all those who encouraged and supported the students in developing and refining ideas.
He urged students to come up with even more innovative and unique ideas in the next exhibition.
A panel of judges, comprising senior educators and subject experts, evaluated the projects on the basis of creativity, scientific methodology, relevance, and presentation. They commended the students for demonstrating strong analytical thinking and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge.
