FDA to sell residential and commercial plots in open auction

FAISALABAD, Sep 16 (APP):Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said that FDA would sell a number of residential and commercial plots available in various areas owned by the FDA through a transparent and open public auction.
Chairing a meeting here on Wednesday, he said that complete details of the available plots, terms and conditions of the auction and the date fixed for the auction would be announced to the public shortly.
He also reviewed the details of plots available in FDA’s residential colonies and commercial markets, their current status and arrangements proposed for the auction.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that FDA’s financial resources would be further enhanced by utilizing its properties and plots through transparent procedures, enabling the expansion of its administrative and development activities.
He directed that a complete record of the residential and commercial plots selected for auction be compiled and that the auction process be taken forward only after thoroughly verifying the ownership, location, area, nature and other relevant particulars of each plot.
He said that besides increasing FDA’s revenue, the initiative also aims to ensure effective utilization of available land and strengthen the process of urban development.
He directed the concerned officers to compile and publish all details of the plots and auction-related information in a timely manner so that interested citizens and investors could participate in the auction in accordance with the prescribed procedure.
He said that transparency, merit, and responsible conduct in financial and administrative affairs are of fundamental importance at FDA, and all matters would be completed strictly in accordance with the rules and regulations.
The meeting also reviewed various proposals concerning the record of available plots, auction arrangements and the future course of action and necessary instructions were issued to the concerned officers.
Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Directors Junaid Hassan Manj, Asma Mohsin, Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Afnan Saeed Sindhu and other relevant officers were also present in the meeting.
