FCCP to hear judicial allowance case category-wise

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (APP): The Federal Constitutional Court, while hearing the case pertaining to judicial allowance, decided to examine different categories of petitions separately and adjourned the proceedings until April 4 after issuing notice to the Attorney General.
During the hearing, Justice Aamer Farooq made light-hearted remarks while addressing counsel, observing, “Counsel, you are showing the file from a distance.” He added, “My eyesight is not 6/6, and even if it were, it would still not be possible to read from that far.”
In a humorous tone, the judge remarked that lawyers might be able to read from a distance using binoculars or a telescope, “but I certainly cannot.”
The court observed that the judicial allowance matter comprised multiple categories and that it would not be possible to decide such a lengthy case in a single hearing. Justice Aamer Farooq clarified that each category of cases would be fixed and heard separately to enable a detailed examination.
Subsequently, the court issued notice to the Attorney General and adjourned further hearing of the case until April 4.
