Farooq Sattar welcomes K-IV allocation, seeks more funds for Karachi

ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP): Senior MQM leader Dr. Muhammad Farooq Sattar on Friday welcomed the government’s allocation for the Greater Karachi Bulk Water Supply Scheme (K-IV), saying it would help address the city’s long-standing water shortage.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament, he said water remained Karachi’s biggest issue and funding for the K-IV project would significantly improve water availability for residents.
However, he said Karachi deserved a larger share of development funds, noting that the city contributed substantial resources to the national economy.
Sattar also welcomed the tax relief announced for salaried individuals, saying they had been among the hardest hit by inflation.
He said allocations for the information technology sector would help create employment opportunities for talented young people.
The MQM leader further urged the government to provide additional tax relief to the business community, arguing that lower taxes would support economic growth and business activity.
