ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, called every tree planted today, a promise for a healthier future, urging youth to take an active role in environmental protection.
She expressed these views during the visit at Islamabad Model College for Boys, I-8/3, where she planted a tree as part of the ongoing Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign under the weekly theme “Aik Beta, Aik Shajar,” said a press release on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Farah Naz highlighted that the theme reflected the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, for a greener, cleaner and more sustainable Pakistan.
She encouraged students to carry forward the spirit of the campaign by planting and nurturing trees, underscoring that protecting the environment is both a civic and moral duty.
She appreciated the efforts of Shahid Mehmood Abbasi, Principal, IMCB I-8/3, for organizing the plantation activity and motivating students to participate with great enthusiasm.
She was also taken on a round of the college to observe recent interventions and improvements carried out under the institution’s development initiatives.
On this occasion, she distributed prizes among the high achievers of the college, lauding their dedication and academic excellence.
