Families of eight deceased rescuers receive Rs31.5m financial assistance

Punjab Emergency Service Secretary Dr Rizwan Naseer Thursday met the families of deceased Rescue 1122 personnel at the Rescue Headquarters and distributed financial assistance amounting to Rs31.5 million among them.

LAHORE, Jul 09 (APP):Punjab Emergency Service Secretary Dr Rizwan Naseer Thursday met the families of deceased Rescue 1122 personnel at the Rescue Headquarters and distributed financial assistance amounting to Rs31.5 million among them.
According to a Rescue Punjab spokesperson, a total of eight families received the financial assistance under the department’s welfare programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rizwan said the welfare and care of the families of martyred and deceased rescuers remained the responsibility of the department. He also inquired after the well-being of the bereaved families and assured them of continued support.
“The rescue family never leaves its personnel or their families alone,” he said, directing the relevant authorities to ensure all possible assistance and care for the families of the deceased rescuers.
According to the spokesperson, four rescuers died in road accidents, two suffered fatal heart attacks, while two others passed away due to different causes.
