Expansion of Bacha Khan Airport to complete in two and a half years: Senate told

ISLAMABAD Nov (APP): Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Thursday informed the Senate that modernization and expansion work of Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar (BKIAP) would be completed within two and a half years.
Responding to a calling attention notice moved by Senator Mohsin Aziz
regarding stopping of improvement and expansion work at passengers’
terminal of Bacha Khan airport, he said the project would be completed
at a cost of Rs 2 billion.
He said Rs 300 million had been allocated in the budget 2015-16 for
the airport expansion project which would be executed from the Civil
Aviation Authority resources.
He said international and local designers and contractor were invited
through advertisement for the project.
