EPI urges parents to ensure timely vaccination of children
ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):The Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) has urged parents to ensure timely and complete vaccination of their children, emphasizing that immunization protects them against serious diseases and supports healthy growth.
The EPI stressed that every vaccine was important in protecting children from preventable illnesses and encouraged parents to follow the recommended immunisation schedule.
It also reminded parents that the ongoing polio vaccination campaign would continue from November 2 to 8 across 97 selected districts of the country.
Parents and caregivers have been urged to ensure that every child under five years of age receives polio drops during the campaign, in addition to routine immunisation, to protect them against the crippling disease.
