ISLAMABAD, Jul 17 (APP):Former Federal Minister Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan on Thursday lauded Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s (PBM) role in social protection and pledged full support to strengthen its welfare initiatives during a meeting with Managing Director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt.
PBM’s Director General Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Danish briefed him on PBM’s key service modules, including financial assistance for rehabilitation, education and medical treatment, care for poor and orphaned children, women empowerment, provision of food and shelter for the needy and vulnerable, and support for the rehabilitation of differently-abled persons.
Applauding PBM’s exemplary pro-poor initiatives, Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan praised the visionary leadership of Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt for crafting inclusive poverty reduction strategies aimed at uplifting the country’s most neglected communities.
He also expressed his every possible facilitative role in order to implement the federal government’s plan to curb the menace of poverty.
Highlighting the organization’s achievements, Shaheen Khalid Butt communicated his passion to address the multifarious challenges linked with poverty. Managing Director PBM also shared the futuristic plans to make organization more potent, vibrant and accessible for the deserving persons.
