Employees to get 7% raise, 15% DRA, 50% conveyance hike, two adhoc relief mergers

Federal government employees would receive a 7 per cent salary increase, enhanced allowances and the merger of two previous adhoc reliefs into basic pay under Budget 2026-27, Federal Secretary for Finance Imdad Ullah Bosal said on Saturday.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 13 (APP): Federal government employees would receive a 7 per cent salary increase, enhanced allowances and the merger of two previous adhoc reliefs into basic pay under Budget 2026-27, Federal Secretary for Finance Imdad Ullah Bosal said on Saturday.
Clarifying the salary package announced in the federal budget, Bosal said employees would receive a 7 per cent adhoc relief on their basic pay, along with a 15 per cent Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) aimed at reducing pay disparities among different categories of government workers.
The government has also approved a 50 per cent increase in conveyance allowance to help employees cope with rising transportation costs, he told APP after the post-budget news conference.
The press conference was addressed by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, senior officials of the Finance Ministry, and the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The finance secretary further informed APP about the merger of two adhoc relief allowances into basic pay, including the 15 per cent relief granted in 2022 and the 10 per cent relief announced in 2025.
