ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 (APP): Capital Development Authority (CDA),management has imposed penalties on its seven officials, those were involved in embezzlement in collection of entry fee in Lake View Park,According to documents available to APP, the officials haves been
found guilty misconduct/infancy/ corruption and misuse of powers during inquiry.
The CDA management has stopped the increment of Khalid Malik ex
Director of parks, Asif Majeed the than Director parks and now Deputy Director Sports and Culture and Muhammad Zubair Manager parks for a one year.
Authority has imposed major penalty of time scale i.e demotion by three increments with recurring effect on Irfan Azeem Khan the than DD parks.
Competent authority would also recover the loss of Rs 16.35 million from the officers including Irfan Azeem Khan than DD parks,Asif Majeed than Director parks and Muhammad Zubair manger parks as 50%, 40% and 10% respectively in case it was not recover from the contractor through decree passed by the Civil Court Islamabad.
Four officials of the authority have exonerated after inquiry. According to documents the officials can make representation against this order to the appellate authority, through proper channel, with in 30 days of the date of communication of this order under chapter 20 clause 20.02 (1) of CDA employees regulation 1992.
However recovery of loss from accused officers will be decided in case of non recovery from the contractors.
