Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) to be observed on Thursday

ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (APP): Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) will be observed with religious fervour across the country on Thursday.

The celebrations will start early in the day with a 21-cannon salute in respect of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Various processions will commence with the offering of special prayers and salutations on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

A large number of citizens will carry banners and placards, recite salutations and raise slogans during the processions to express their devotion and love for Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Different religious, social, cultural and educational organisations have planned programmes like Mahafil of Naat Khawani, Seerat conferences and Milad processions to mark the day.

Mosques, streets, plazas, roads, bazaars, markets, government buildings  and houses were decorated with lights, flags and bunting on the occasion.

Police have made foolproof security arrangements in this regard.

All security arrangements for Eid Milad have been completed across the twin cities.

Rescue 1122, Bomb Disposal Squad teams, first aid teams, fire brigade and civil defence teams would remain on alert on the routes of the processionsto avert any emergency situation.

The City District Government would also set up water distribution points for the participants of the processions.
