Education Minister to promote translation of Arabic literature into Urdu and Pakistani literature

ISLAMABAD, Oct 2 (APP): Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, on Thursday, expressed his intent to promote the translation of Arabic literature into Urdu and Pakistani literature to foster knowledge-sharing and cultural exchange.
He expressed these views during the meeting with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, Fahad Khalaf Al-Kharusi.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation in the education sector.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized that cooperation with Oman could be expanded in the teaching of the Arabic language and in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
He emphasized that learning the Arabic language was essential for a deeper understanding of the Holy Quran, and therefore, Arabic language courses would be introduced in schools and colleges.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted that relations between Pakistan and Oman were rooted in history and based on mutual friendship, which contributed to regional stability.
He added, “We will open new avenues of cooperation in the field of education with Oman.”
The Omani Ambassador observed that Oman has successfully embraced modernity while preserving its cultural heritage.
The Omani Ambassador reaffirmed that collaboration would be strengthened between the Ministries of Education of both countries and extended an invitation to the Federal Minister to visit his office.
