Education major source of change in society: Ranjha

SARGODHA, Feb 12 (APP)::State Minister Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha has said that education is a basic necessity for bringing about a real change in society and the government was striving to upgrade living
standard of people of far-off areas.
He was addressing an inauguration ceremony of a literacy centre,
set up by the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) at
Matela for provision of basic education to adults.
The minister said that the NCHD was playing a positive role in provision of basic education to specific segments of society with
the help of district administration and other stakeholders.
District General Manager NCHD Omer Daraz said on the occasion
that 70 literacy centres have been set up for adult education in union
councils where literacy rate is very low and five centres at
district jail.
He said that such centers were fully operational where all facilities were being provided to adult students.
The ceremony was also attended by MPA Manaazar Ali Ranjha.
