ISLAMABAD, Jun 23 (APP):Educators, policymakers, technology experts, researchers, and industry representatives gathered in Islamabad at the recently held AI EdTech Summit 2026 to explore how Artificial Intelligence can reshape Pakistan’s education system and prepare students for the challenges of the future.
The summit was organized by the Federal College of Education (FCE), Islamabad, in collaboration with Career Konnect, and served as a platform for dialogue on the opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies in education.
The event was chaired by Dr. Samia Rehman Dogar, Director of the Federal College of Education, while Huzaifa Sarfraz led the program proceedings. Participants engaged in discussions on the growing influence of AI on teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, research practices, and educational administration.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Mohsin Raza said that artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the global educational landscape and that educational institutions must adapt to ensure students acquire the skills required in a technology-driven world.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shamsa Aziz emphasized the need to integrate AI-related competencies into teacher education and accreditation systems. She stressed that teachers must be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilize emerging technologies in classrooms.
A series of panel discussions featured experts from academia, government organizations, development agencies, and the private sector. The discussions focused on curriculum reform, digital inclusion, workforce preparedness, educational planning, and policy development in the age of artificial intelligence.
Muhammad Rafique Tahir, former Director of the Federal College of Education, said that innovation and technology would play a crucial role in improving educational outcomes across the country.
In his concluding remarks, chief guest, Dr. Rizwan Riaz underscored the importance of using AI as a tool for enhancing quality education, fostering innovation, and expanding access to learning opportunities.
