ECP to hold LG elections in 154 constituencies of Punjab on December 30

ISLAMABAD, Dec 11 (APP): The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday announced to hold Local Government Elections on December 30 in 154 vacant constituencies of Punjab where election were not held during the all three phases.

The Elections were not held in 154 constituencies due to the death of candidates and various reasons, said spokesman of the ECP.

Meanwhile, ECP has also issued the schedule for polling and according to it, the nomination papers will be filed on December 15 whereas the verification process will be completed on Dec 16.

The candidates can file their appeals to the tribunals against the decisions of the Returning Officers on December 17 and tribunals would decide on their appeals till December 18, he said.

The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers until Dec 19 and on the next day the final list of candidates will be published, he added.
