ISLAMABAD, Jan 27 (APP):The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reinstated the membership of five provincial assembly members from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after they submitted their statements of assets and liabilities for the fiscal year 2024β25.
The legislators had been suspended on January 16 for failing to meet the December 31, 2025 deadline.
According to an ECP notification, the restored members include Amir Hayat Hiraj (PP-207, Khanewal), Muhammad Sibtain Raza (PP-274, Muzaffargarh), and Tariq Masih (non-Muslim reserved seat) from the Punjab Assembly, along with Samiullah Khan (PK-76, Peshawar) and Muhammad Sajjad (PK-98, Karak) from the KP Assembly.
