In her message, she said the echoes of “Takbeer” in the hills of Chagai not only strengthened Pakistan’s defence but also ensured national sovereignty, dignity and strategic balance. She said Pakistan emerged as the first nuclear power in the Islamic world and the seventh nuclear state globally, which remained a matter of pride for the entire nation.

She further said the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear programme was laid by former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, while the country’s scientists, engineers and technical experts made the programme successful through their hard work, capabilities and dedication. She paid tribute to Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and other scientists for their invaluable services.
