ISLAMABAD, Feb 2 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media (SAPM) Iftikhar Durrani urged the media to verify the news before publishing or broadcasting it.
Talking to media, he asked media persons to file only authentic news items without disclosing their source.
Media department exists in each department of the government and the veracity of any news could be checked from the relevant department.
He said he was a middle class person and never supported any wrong does or land grabbers.
He said the country was facing difficult situation and government would overcome difficulties in support with the government.
The country has the earnings of only Rs 5.5 million where as we had to pay over Rs 2 trillion per annum interest on debts.
Federal Government has to pay provinces their share.
