Durrani pleads to take up national issues in Parliament

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): Minister for Housing and Works Akram
Khan Durrani Tuesday underlined the need for taking up major national
issues in the Parliament, instead of taking these to streets.
The House, being a supreme institution, was the most appropriate
forum to resolve the nmajor issues, he said while talking to media
persons outside the Parliament House.
The minister said masses did not vote Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
(PTI) just to spoil their time in sit-ins, adding if the party has
the ambition to do street-politics; it should resign from the
National Assembly first.
Akram Durrani requested the PTI legislators to attend session
of the House and meeting of the Parliamentary Electoral Reforms
Committee as the matter was getting delayed due to their absence.
“Politics is the name of tolerance, acceptance and respect to
each other and use of abusive language has always created
differences,”he added.
He said the Federal Government should ask Governor Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa to inquire by KPK goverment about non-implementation
of its directive regarding compensation package announced for
the quake-affected people.
