Dry weather to prevail across most parts of country on Thursday

ISLAMABAD, Feb 25 (APP): Mainly dry weather is expected to prevail over most parts of the country on Thursday, while cold conditions are likely to continue in hilly areas during morning and night hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The Met Office forecast said daytime temperatures are expected to remain above normal across several regions.
However, partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain may occur at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan during evening and night hours.
In Islamabad and adjoining areas, dry weather is likely to persist with cold conditions during early morning and nighttime.
Day temperatures in the federal capital are expected to range between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience dry weather, while hilly areas will remain cold during morning and night hours.
Temperatures in plain areas are likely to range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, whereas hilly regions may record temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. Light rain accompanied by partly cloudy conditions is also expected in Chitral and nearby areas during evening or night.
In Punjab, mainly dry weather is forecast for most districts. Cold and partly cloudy conditions are expected in Murree, Galliyat and surrounding areas, while daytime temperatures in central and southern districts may remain between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius.
Morning fog is likely to occur in Narowal and Sialkot.
Sindh is expected to remain dry with daytime temperatures ranging from 33 to 36 degrees Celsius across most districts.
Similarly, dry weather is likely in most parts of Balochistan, while northern districts may experience cold conditions during morning and night hours.
Day temperatures are expected to range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius in northern areas and 33 to 35 degrees Celsius in southern parts of the province.
In Kashmir, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected, while Gilgit-Baltistan may witness partly cloudy conditions with chances of light rain at isolated places during evening and night.
During the past 24 hours, weather remained dry in most parts of the country, whereas cold conditions prevailed in hilly areas during morning and night hours.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded were Leh minus 8, Skardu minus 3, Astore minus 2 and Gupis 0 degrees Celsius, the report added.
