ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP):The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry weather conditions over most parts of the country on Wednesday while cold weather is expected in hilly areas during the morning and night hours.
According to the Met Office, due to the prevailing dry spell and increasing atmospheric pollution, several districts in eastern Punjab are likely to remain under the influence of smog.
Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from adverse health effects.
In Islamabad, the weather will remain dry with a noticeable chill during the morning and night.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, dry conditions are expected across most districts, while hilly regions will experience colder temperatures during the night and early morning.
For Punjab, dry weather will persist in most areas including Murree, Galiyat, and adjoining regions, with cold conditions during the morning and night.
Smog is likely to continue in Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan.
Sindh will experience hot and dry weather in most districts, while southeastern and coastal areas may see partly cloudy conditions.
In Balochistan, dry weather is expected across most districts, though the northern parts will remain cold during the morning and night hours.
Meanwhile, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will experience cold and dry weather.
During the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most parts of the country, with smog persisting over the eastern districts of Punjab.
The highest maximum temperatures recorded today were Turbat and Lasbella at 38 C, followed by Pasni and Ormara at
37C.
