Dr Uzma should apologise for her baseless allegation against Maryum Nawaz

ISLAMABAD, July 1 (APP): PML-N leader MNA Talal Chaudhary on Friday said that PTI leader Imran Khan’s sister Dr Uzma’s allegation of misbehaviour by policemen, a part of Maryum Nawaz security protocol in Gulberg area of Lahore, was baseless.

Talking to a private news channel , he said there was no report of such an incident and added Maryam Nawaz was unduly being dragged by Dr Uzma Khan.

“When this incident occurred Maryam was in Islamabad. There might have been some misunderstanding to Dr Fauzia. She should not blame anyone without confirmation. She must apologise for her baseless allegations,” Chaudhry said.

Replying to a question, he said it could not be confirmed that whose protocol that was.

He said that Dr Uzma’s allegation was based on misunderstanding as he himself phoned Maryum Nawaz just after that incident and he was told that she was in Islamabad and not in Lahore.

He said Dr Uzma should avoid such an allegation against Maryam Nawaz
as it becomes a laughing stock for others.

He said Dr Uzma should appear before TV channels and clear such allegation publicly.

He said Dr Umza was like his sister and he expected true statement about the incident and advised her to confirm facts first.

Meanwhile, spokesman of the Sharif Family and Prime Minister House had also denied the incident saying that Maryam Nawaz was in Islamabad and reached Lahore at 4 pm : “I am in Islamabad & taking off for Lahore shortly. News about my guards or my car is incorrect,” the spokesman quoted Maryam as saying on Twitter.
