ISLAMABAD, Jul 24 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Moldokanovich Kulubaev on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan on Friday and exchanged views on regional and international developments and reaffirmed their resolve to work closely in multilateral fora to promote peace, stability, and shared prosperity.
The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan relations and underscored the importance of sustained high-level exchanges and the timely implementation of the understandings reached during the State Visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Pakistan in December 2025, as well as the official visit of the President of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan in July 2026.
They reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and discussed expanding collaboration in trade, investment, energy, connectivity, business-to-business, and people-to-people contacts.
DPM/FM congratulated the Kyrgyz Republic on the successful hosting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting, as well as on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.
