DPM Dar urges all parties to return to Islamabad MoU for peace

NEW YORK, Sep 22 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday calling dialogue and diplomacy the only viable means for addressing regional challenges, stressed the need for all parties to return to the Islamabad MoU for advancing regional stability.

He was talking to Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya Al-Taher Al-Baour as they met on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly here.

The two sides expressed interest in further strengthening friendly ties between Pakistan and Libya across diverse fields, particularly trade, education, and business-to-business exchanges.

The ministers exchanged views on regional and international developments, including the evolving situation in the Middle East, as well as the implications for regional peace, energy supplies, and the global economy, particularly for developing countries.

The Libyan foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts for regional peace and stability.
