DPM Dar reviews final preparations for upcoming OIC moot on women

ISLAMABAD, Jul 1 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday chaired the 6th meeting of the High-Level Committee for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women which will be hosted by Pakistan from July 12–13, 2026.
The meeting reviewed the final phase of preparations, including the draft programme, conference agenda, protocol, security and logistical arrangements, media and communication strategy, inter-ministerial coordination, and other organizational matters.
The committee discussed measures to ensure the seamless conduct and successful hosting of the conference, which will bring together 57 OIC Member States to strengthen cooperation on women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable development.
The deputy prime minister appreciated the progress made by the Ministry of Human Rights and also issued directions to all relevant stakeholders to maintain close coordination and ensure timely completion of the remaining arrangements.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and Shaza Fatima, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, Secretary Human Rights Abdul Khaliq Shaikh and other senior officials.
