DPM Dar for timely completion of arrangements for next year’s SCO CHS summit

Deputy Prime Minister Dar underscored that Pakistan was fully committed to successfully hosting the SCO meetings and ensuring arrangements of the highest standard.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Wednesday expressed satisfaction with the ongoing preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s (SCO) Council of Heads of State summit to be hosted by Pakistan next year, directing all relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of all arrangements.

The deputy prime minister, chairing a meeting regarding the arrangements for the SCO Summit, underscored that Pakistan was fully committed to successfully hosting the SCO meetings and ensuring arrangements of the highest standard.

He emphasised close coordination among all relevant institutions to ensure the smooth, well-organised and successful hosting of the SCO proceedings.

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority briefed the meeting on the progress of various development and infrastructure projects.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch, Interior Secretary Ahmad Raza Sarwar, CDA Chairman, National Coordinator SCO, and other senior officials from the relevant ministries attended the meeting.
