KULA LUMPUR, Jul 10 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, praised the Pakistani diaspora in Malaysia for their valuable contributions to the enduring relationship between the two nations during a special event hosted by the Pakistan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.

Addressing a diverse gathering of community members, Senator Dar expressed heartfelt appreciation for their role in enhancing the historical and multifaceted ties between Pakistan and Malaysia, a DPM’s Office news release said.

He noted that the diaspora’s engagement across sectors such as business, education, healthcare, and technology has played a key part in deepening bilateral cooperation.

“The Pakistani community in Malaysia is a source of pride for the nation,” he stated. “Your hard work, dedication, and integration into Malaysian society while upholding your Pakistani identity continue to serve as a bridge of friendship between our two countries.”

Reaffirming the government’s strong commitment to the welfare of overseas Pakistanis, the Deputy Prime Minister assured the community of continued support in resolving their concerns and promoting their interests.

He highlighted recent government initiatives aimed at facilitating consular services, protecting workers’ rights, and encouraging investment through the overseas Pakistani network.
