ISLAMABAD, Jun 24 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Tuesday chaired the preparatory meeting of the Pakistani delegation in Abu Dhabi, ahead of the 12th Session of the Pakistan–UAE Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC).
The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Special Secretary EAD, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Secretaries of Commerce, Interior, Overseas Pakistanis, IT, & SIFC, and Additional Secretaries from Ministry of Food Security & Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a DPM’s Office news release said.
The meeting reviewed the detailed agenda of the JMC and assessed progress on various bilateral engagements. Discussions focused on priority areas, including trade, investment, energy, telecommunications, and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers in the UAE.
The DPM/FM appreciated the efforts of the participating ministries and departments for their active involvement and stressed the importance of translating dialogue into tangible outcomes.
He expressed confidence that the 12th JMC would lead to concrete measures for strengthening bilateral cooperation and institutional linkages between Pakistan and the UAE.
