DPM Dar back in Islamabad after “successful” New York visit
ISLAMABAD, Sep 29 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday arrived here on a PIA flight after a “successful” visit to New York for the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the visit, the deputy prime minister accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his high-level engagements and held bilateral meetings with his counterparts, according to a Foreign Office statement.
He participated in different meetings of the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and chaired the 27th Informal Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers, besides addressing high-level meetings on artificial intelligence and pandemic preparedness.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar reiterated Pakistan’s principled positions on Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir and also underscored the importance of upholding dialogue and diplomacy to advance regional peace and stability.
