ABBOTTABAD, Jan 08 (APP):The district administration on Thursday launched a crackdown against milk adulteration in various parts of Abbottabad, during which Halal Food teams sealed a bakery for violating food safety standards.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad, Afrasiab Zaibir Hundal. Joint inspection teams checked multiple locations, including Supply, Banda Jat, the Main Karakoram Highway and the Jadun Plaza area, with the aim of ensuring the supply of safe and quality food to the public.
During the inspections, several milk samples were collected and sent to laboratories for analysis. The teams also examined hygiene conditions and compliance with food safety laws at bakeries and hotels across the city.
Friend Bakery was sealed for poor sanitation and failure to meet prescribed food safety standards, while individuals involved in other violations were directed to appear before the court under relevant laws.
The district administration stated that such operations would continue on a regular basis to protect public health, curb adulteration, and ensure strict implementation of food safety regulations.
