PESHAWAR, Feb 22 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has announced a six-month digital internship for female students of information technology to equip them with practical skills and knowledge relevant to their field of study.
“The paid internship will enhance the employability of young female graduates by providing them with real work and experience,” said Dr. Akif Khan, Managing Director KPITB.
Talking with APP, Dr. Akif said the internship will also provide mentorship and career advice to help interns make informed career decisions.
The six-month training will contribute to the development of a skilled workforce to support the economic growth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he hoped.
Fresh graduates or applicant graduated in last three years from date of advertisement are eligible for the internship and applicants must have a domicile of KP and merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Fresh graduates may also apply by submitting a course completion certificate. Applicants with post-qualification experience are not eligible to apply. Applicant already availed KPITB Digital Internship are not eligible.
The applicants should have a Master’s degree with at least 16 years of Education in IT, computer science, Software Engineering, or any other ICT-related field.
During the internship, training will be provided on web development, Graphic design, app development, UI/UX, web design, AI, Digital Marketing, etc.
A monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 will be paid to all the applicants, MD KPITB added. About the number of internees, he said, a decision will be taken on the basis of applications received for the opportunity.
Interested candidates can apply online through the official Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Internship Program portal.
The selection process includes an initial screening of applications, followed by interviews and assessments to match interns with suitable roles.
