ISLAMABAD, Jul 21 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security Rana Umar Farooq visited Pakistan Monument to inspect security arrangements and review the operational preparedness of police personnel deployed at the national landmark.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the DIG Security received a detailed briefing from officers on duty regarding the overall security plan, deployment and operational measures in place to ensure the safety of visitors.
During the visit, Rana Umar thoroughly reviewed the security arrangements and assessed the performance and alertness of officers performing security duties at the site.
He directed the deployed personnel to remain highly vigilant, strengthen monitoring and ensure effective checking and foolproof security arrangements to safeguard the public and the important national monument.
The DIG Umar also issued necessary instructions to further improve operational efficiency, coordination and response capabilities, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism while performing duty.
