ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP):A fire broke out at a shop in Sharifabad area falling under the jurisdiction of Koral Police Station, prompting an immediate response from I ICT Police and rescue services.
A police spokesperson told APP on Thursday that , Deputy Inspector General (DIG) , personally reached the spot and is directly supervising the ongoing rescue and firefighting operation.

The spokesperson said senior officers of Islamabad Police are also present at the scene along with the DIG Islamabad, while police and rescue teams are carrying out relief activities in close coordination to bring the situation under control.
He added that effective measures are being taken to secure the area, and citizens are being kept away from the site to ensure their safety and to facilitate smooth rescue operations.
The spokesperson appealed to the public to cooperate with police and rescue teams and avoid unnecessary crowding near the incident site so that emergency services can perform their duties without hindrance.
Islamabad Police, in coordination with rescue agencies, remain fully committed to ensuring public safety and responding promptly to emergency situations, the spokesperson added.
