ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 (APP): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq visited Faizabad to review the law and order situation and assess security arrangements.
An official told APP on Sunday that DIG Jawad Tariq met officers and personnel deployed on duty and instructed them to remain fully alert and vigilant. He emphasized that no negligence would be tolerated in ensuring the safety of citizens.
“Every officer must stay alert; there will be no compromise on the protection of people,” DIG Jawad said, adding that peace in the city must be maintained at all costs.
He warned that any attempt at mischief or lawlessness would be dealt with strictly and that no individual would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
DIG Tariq also appealed to citizens to avoid any unlawful activity and to fully cooperate with police in maintaining order.
“Protection of citizens’ lives and property is our mission, while public trust is our most valuable asset,” he added.
