ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, visited various duty points in the federal capital to review the overall law and order situation and issued directives to ensure maximum vigilance.
An official told APP on Friday that DIG Tariq met with officers and personnel deployed on duty and instructed them to remain fully alert at all times.
DIG Tariq emphasized that every officer must stay vigilant, as no lapse in the protection of citizens would be tolerated. “The continuity of peace and order in the city will be maintained at all costs, and the law will immediately come into action against any mischief or violation,” he stressed.
He categorically stated that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands and disturb public peace.
Appealing to the public, DIG Tariq urged citizens not to become part of any unlawful activity and to cooperate fully with the police.
“The protection of citizens’ lives and property is our mission, while public trust is our greatest asset,” he added.
