ISLAMABAD, Jun 12 (APP):Former Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Auragzeb Tuesday said difference of opinion was part of democracy and it would be strengthened the democratic system in the country.
Without difference of opinion democracy was just like dictatorship, she said talking to PTV.
She said parliament was best forum to address the issues and difference of opinion should be inside the parliament otherwise it had negative impact on the country.
She said the PML-N government last five years of the constitutional tenure was exemplary and could not be compared with other regimes. Voter has great importance in holding free and fair general election in the country, she added.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said it was responsibility of interim government to hold transparent election on its stipulated time.
She said Parliament had evolved a consensus in approving electoral reforms bill to ensure more transparency in the system. Some administratively points were removed from the electoral reform bill, she added.
She said leadership would award party tickets to the candidate to contest in the next general election.
