DHO reviews hepatitis C screening outreach
ISLAMABAD, Oct 08 (APP):District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad on Thursday reviewed ongoing hepatitis C screening and outreach activities.
During a meeting with the Project Director of the Prime Minister’s National Programme for Elimination of Hepatitis C, she reviewed the screening and outreach activities being carried out by DHO Islamabad teams and efforts to expand access to hepatitis C services across the federal capital.
She said that free hepatitis C screening and treatment are being provided at designated health facilities as well as through outreach services, enabling citizens to access early detection and timely care.
She added teams are working to expand screening services to additional health facilities and Union Councils to improve coverage and facilitate early diagnosis.
She asked the citizens to avail the screening services and timely treatment to protect their health and eliminate hepatitis C.
