ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP):Director General (DG) Safe City Islamabad Muhammad Haroon Joya chaired an important meeting with terminal and adda managers to review the passenger-record mechanism and strengthen monitoring under the Travel-Eye software system.
A public relations officer told APP on Tuesday that the meeting focused on ensuring that all passengers arriving or departing from transport terminals are properly recorded in Travel-Eye, with complete entry of identity details and movement data.
DG Joya instructed all adda managers to immediately report any suspicious passenger movement to Islamabad Police, ensure accurate data entry, and fully cooperate during verification checks and geo-tagging procedures.
The officer added that the Travel-Eye monitoring initiative is being implemented across the city on the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to enhance security and improve tracking of intercity movement.
He further said that Safe City teams are working round the clock to strengthen surveillance, support investigation units, and ensure that the Travel-Eye system remains fully effective for early detection of suspects and wanted persons.
The DG also emphasized close coordination between terminal staff and police, stating that strict compliance with data-recording protocols would help prevent criminal movement and improve overall public safety.
