ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP):After merger of Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) into Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, the pace of development works in the area would be increased to provide maximum facilities to citizens of the area.
Talking to APP Senator, Hilal ur Rehamn said that it was the long standing demand of Fata people for merger of the area to KP, because the people were facing many problems due the black law of FCR and other violations of public rights.
He hailed the historic decision of government adding that when the National Assembly passed the bill of merge of Fata on Thursday, the Pakhtun Youth Jirga arranged a public gathering and celebrated it while a large number of members of the jirga and political representatives also attended the event.
Senator Gull Afridi said that he was feeling a historic victory after the passing of bill of FATA merger.
He said that issues being faced by the Fata people would be resolved on priority after the merger. “We thank all parliamentarians for their efforts for merger of Fata into the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,”
Gull said adding that merger would not only provide representation to the Fata in the Provincial Assembly but would change fate of the tribal regions.
Senator Sitara Ayaz said that move would help resolve the issues being faced by the tribal people on priority basis adding that they had rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terrorism but their rights were usurped.
