ISLAMABAD, Nov 07 (APP): Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan on Friday held separate meetings with delegations comprising parliamentarians, lawyers, doctors, students, tribal elders, and senior journalists to discuss matters of national importance and public welfare.
Former Senator Behramand Khan Tangi and former Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman also called on the Deputy Chairman, along with their respective delegations.
During the interactions, Syedaal Khan emphasised that the government remains firmly committed to ensuring national development, economic stability, and the welfare of citizens.
He urged all political parties to work together with unity and consensus in the larger national interest.
Highlighting the government’s focus on Balochistan, he said the province occupies a central place in Pakistan’s progress, adding that special attention is being devoted to development projects and resource allocation for marginalised and underprivileged communities.
In his meeting with members of the legal fraternity, the Deputy Chairman reaffirmed the importance of upholding the Constitution and the rule of law, assuring government support in resolving the challenges faced by the legal community.
While speaking to the delegation of doctors, he lauded their crucial role in serving humanity and reiterated that improving the healthcare system and ensuring staff welfare remain among the government’s top priorities.
Addressing tribal elders, Syedaal Khan acknowledged their historic role in promoting national unity and defending the country, reaffirming the government’s resolve to protect their rights and representation.
He also appreciated the role of parliamentarians in strengthening democracy and encouraged them to play an active and constructive role in legislation and policymaking to advance public welfare.
All visiting delegations thanked the Deputy Chairman for his time and commended his efforts in fostering national cohesion, inclusive development, and unity among all segments of society.
