Deputy AGP Dr. Tafakhar appointed external auditor of International Anti-Corruption Academy
ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):Dr. Tafakhar Ali Asdi, Deputy Auditor General of Pakistan, has been appointed External Auditor of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) for a three-year term from 2028 to 2030.
According to an official letter issued by IACA Dean and Executive Secretary Drago Kos on October 8, the appointment was made following a decision by the Academy’s Board of Governors. The appointment covers the audit years 2027 to 2029.
The letter stated that the Academy’s finances would be subject to an annual independent audit in accordance with the highest standards of transparency, accountability and legitimacy.
It added that the audit would be conducted under the framework established by the Academy’s founding agreement and relevant resolutions, financial regulations and rules of procedure for independent external auditors.
The IACA Secretariat will inform Dr. Asdi about further procedures and arrangements to facilitate the audit.
Dr. Asdi currently serves as Deputy Auditor General in Field Audit Operations at the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.
