ISLAMABAD, Sep 06 (APP):Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi Sunday said September 06 reminded the nation of the great sacrifices of the martyrs and the spirit of national unity demonstrated for the defence of the motherland.
He said Defence Day was a proud day in the national history, recalling that in 1965 the Pakistani nation and armed forces had demonstrated exemplary unity, courage and determination in defending the country.
The federal minister paid rich tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis who sacrificed their lives for the defence of Pakistan, saying their sacrifices represented a shining example of national character, resolve and commitment.
Khalid Hussain Magsi said the Pakistan Armed Forces had demonstrated courage and professional capabilities in the “Battle for Truth” and their role in defending the country and protecting national interests was highly commendable.
He also lauded the leadership capabilities of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying the mutual trust between the people and state institutions was the foundation of national stability.
The federal minister stressed that the promotion of quality education and science and technology was essential for building a strong Pakistan. He said investment in human resources was of vital importance for the country’s sustainable development and progress.
He urged the nation to contribute towards the development, stability and prosperity of Pakistan, saying collective efforts, national unity and a shared commitment to the country’s progress were essential for a stronger and prosperous Pakistan.
