Dark tints draw ITP action as over 450 vehicles challaned in one month

ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has taken legal action against more than 450 vehicles with tinted windows during the past month, stepping up enforcement across the federal capital under its zero-tolerance policy against traffic violations.
An ITP official told APP on Sunday that enforcement against tinted windows and other traffic violations was being further intensified to ensure road discipline and safer travel for citizens.
The official said special traffic squads had been deployed at major roads and intersections across Islamabad to ensure strict implementation of traffic laws.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan said ITP was taking action against tinted windows and other violations without discrimination under its zero-tolerance policy.
She said violations of traffic laws could lead to serious accidents and urged citizens to comply with road-safety rules.
Following traffic laws could protect precious lives the drives and also the other road users, the CTO said.
Kainat urged motorists to demonstrate responsible behaviour and cooperate with ITP for safe and smooth travel.
She said Islamabad Traffic Police was ensuring uniform and indiscriminate enforcement of traffic laws across the capital.
The CTO Kainat reiterated that providing citizens with a safe travelling environment and maintaining smooth traffic flow in the federal capital remained among ITP’s top priorities.
