Dar shares Makkah Joint Defence Agreement aspects with Iranian FM, highlights objectives
ISLAMABAD, Aug 10 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Monday, shared the contours of the recently signed Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye with Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi.
The DPM/FM spoke with the Iranian foreign minister. He also underscored agreement’s objectives of strengthening strategic cooperation and contributing to regional peace and security, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
They exchanged views on regional and international developments, with particular focus on the evolving situation in the region and efforts to promote peace and stability.
Foreign Minister Araghchi thanked the DPM/FM for sharing the key aspects of the agreement.
Both ministers agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest.
