Dar calls for full implementation of Gaza Peace Plan, UNSC Resolution 2803
NEW YORK, Sep 22 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Eight Arab-Islamic Countries here, wherein he stressed the need for full implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803.
The deputy prime minister, in his remarks at the meeting, expressed serious concern over continued ceasefire violations as well as the loss of lives in Gaza.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly being held here.
The deputy prime minister strongly condemned the continued illegal settlement activities and settler violence in the Occupied West Bank, and called for rejecting any attempts to undermine the historical status of the holy sites.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for a sovereign, independent, and contiguous Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
